Member Duties : AmeriCorps members at TreePeople will support urban tree planting and care projects in Lynwood, Watts, Commerce and San Fernando as well as wildfire prevention and forest restoration projects in the Angeles National Forest and the Santa Monica Mountains focused on removal of invasive plant species and reintroduction of native trees and plants. AmeriCorps members will receive training on urban and mountain forestry basics and best practices, as well as professional development, not to exceed 20% of total service hours.
