Member Duties : The member will create and execute STEAM educational programming geared for families with children ages 2-10 years. They will adapt national PBS curriculum resources to benefit local communities through the development of on-site programming at the Cochener-Garvey Children’s Education and Discovery Center. This includes a schedule of weekly, monthly, and summer offerings. The position will develop relationships with, train, and schedule volunteers who will execute programming. They will prepare and distribute educational materials to audiences, create prototypes, lead programs, and develop metrics and reporting system to track success. They will collaborate with the team to develop exhibits and interactive components as well as learn how to operate STEAM-related equipment, like a 3-D printer. They will contribute to the PBS Kansas website, write articles for the Center newsletter, and provide information for marketing campaigns and on-air promotions.
