This project seeks to develop capacity to meet the needs of low-income newcomers in the US for under 10 years in the Greater Philadelphia region in the area of economic development. NSC will support immigrant families and communities through sustainable, community driven solutions by creating pathways to improve access to high quality employment opportunities and providing lasting and meaningful connections to ensure the families we serve have access to the financial resources, partnerships and connections, they need to rise out of poverty and create a solid and self-sustaining future. The VISTA will develop community capacity to support community engagement and create network of support for newcomers.

Member Duties : This VISTA position will be on NSC's Administrative Team and will help primarily with grant writing,volunteer management and recruitment, and community partnerships. As NSC grows into the next phase of our strategic plan, this VISTA will be a key role in helping build capacity. VISTA will assist Development team in researching, writing, and editing grants. Grants will range from federal, local, and private. VISTA will help manage and expand local partnership for NSC's various departments. VISTA will help Volunteer Coordinator recruit volunteers. VISTA will strategically map which possible volunteer groups to target at specific times of year, supplementing the momentum of NSC's new strategic plan.
