Vulnerable Road Users Community Outreach VISTA

The Vulnerable Road Users Community Outreach VISTA will work on incorporating resilience measures into the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) programs, policies, and projects. These resilience efforts touch on all HDOT’s core functions: planning, designing, constructing, operating, maintaining, funding, and protecting highway assets. HDOT recently completed the Highway’s Climate Adaptation Action Plan that provides a roadmap to make the highway system more resilient to climate-related effects. The VISTA Associate will assist in implementing the recommendations outlined in this report.
