Covenant House Georgia serves hundreds of homeless and at-risk youth from the streets of Atlanta every year. It is the only program of its kind in Georgia that opens its doors to homeless youth, aged 18-21. Our range of social services includes: crisis stabilization, housing, GED classes, tutoring, educational assistance in high school and post secondary education, and job training/ life skill development.

Member Duties : Our AmeriCorps Service Members will be plugging into all aspects of our program. They will be facilitating the learning community sessions each week, designing lessons plans and administering one on one education and vocational advising. Members will cover the job readiness curriculum and empower our youth to attain employment. This will include coordinating and executing educational and job readiness workshops. Assist our non residential youth by connecting them with resources and assisting in securing non-cash benefits for our youth. Members will assist our residential advisers and case managers with youth intake documentation and creating short and long term goals with each youth. Members will also assist our volunteer team with orientation, planning service activities for youth and outside groups, and planning special events.
