COVID-19 Special Project Coordinator

Hawaii Public Health Institute (HIPHI) is a non-profit organization which works to advance the health and wellness of the people and islands of Hawaii. HIPHI convenes county level and statewide coalitions that address various health issues: tobacco and vape prevention and control; healthy eating/active living; food security and systems; farm to school; drug and alcohol prevention and control; oral health, and COVID-19 response. The COVID-19 Special Projects will support COVID-19 efforts by documenting relevant information and data on the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery efforts in the State of Hawaii. The VISTA member will focus on salient issues that emerged during the pandemic, How did COVID impacted marginalized populations? How did COVID impact people with co-morbidities? What is the pandemic's impact on mental health? The goal is to understand what data is available, accessible, or necessary, then build partnerships with other organizations and institutions to fill any gaps in information.
