Beyond Housing Workforce Development Associate VISTA
 
 
 
Beyond Housing is a nationally recognized community development organization dedicated to a stronger, more equitable St. Louis for all. Our comprehensive model is built on the understanding that strengthening families and transforming communities isn’t simple—it’s complex and requires a comprehensive, multi-pronged effort. Our work is focused within the 24:1 Community—an area comprised of multiple municipalities within the Normandy schools footprint. The Workforce Development Associate VISTA will work to develop and build capacity of Beyond Housing’s supportive services for workforce development for community members, rental residents, and small business owners. The VISTA will work closely with Beyond Housing program staff and external workforce development partners to develop systems, partnerships, programming, and trainings to better serve Beyond Housing’s program clients in addressing employment needs. The VISTA will primarily support the implementation of employment and education supports and the development of programming to support new and existing small businesses.

Member Duties : The Workforce Development Associate VISTA will support the implementation of education and employment supports, which includes analyzing intake and assessment data; developing program and referral partnerships; compiling information on employment and education opportunities; facilitating connections between job seekers and hiring small businesses; developing case management processes; developing and implementing programming to support new and existing entrepreneurs; and evaluating programming and making recommendations for improvements and expansion.
