CAFI GA AmeriCorps
 
 
 
CAFI AmeriCorps members will be providing support to all aspects of our program. They will facilitate the learning sessions each week, designing lesson plans on job readiness curriculum, financial literacy, and life skills, and a one-on-one with our participants. Members will coordinate and execute educational, financial literacy, and job readiness workshops with our community partners. Assist our clients by connecting them with resources and assisting in securing non-cash benefits. Members will assist our Center Managers with intake documentation and resources referral with each household. AmeriCorps members will participate in several training programs to gain skills and knowledge.

Member Duties : Members provide one-on-one or small group sessions to families and individuals who need help in incasing financial capacity and employability. Members serve 32 hours weekly at CAFI Neighborhood Service Center in Carrollton, Newnan, and LaGrange. Members may travel from one CAFI location to another CAFI location. Members engage in professional development activities, which include life skills training. On successfully completing 900 hours of service, AmeriCorps members receive an education award and are involved in the AmeriCorps Alums, which offer several opportunities to continue national service and new ventures. Service opportunities for the 2022/2023 year are available in the following counties: Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether, and Troup.
