Students Run Philly Style Marketing Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Students Run Philly Style (SRPS) transforms Philadelphia youth through long-distance running and mentorship. Mentors support the students as they set goals, train, and ultimately achieve what they once thought was impossible: the completion of a full or a half marathon. Our VISTA will create a long term impact on our marketing and communication strategy during a time of vast uncertainty and disconnectedness. Students Run Philly Style is in the process of restructuring and developing new techniques to increase engagement among student participants, volunteers, supporters, and funders virtually. The current objectives for this VISTA project include 1) improve visuality through communications, social media and web presence by creating an array of ‘source materials’; 2) design an annual report and document the process to aid in the future creation of the annual report; and 3) develop and implement a strategic marketing plan and assist in brand collaborations, including our annual sneaker release. In addition, there will be opportunities for professional development. Our VISTA will work closely with the program and resource development teams to create beneficial resources and materials that can strengthen our program’s marketing delivery. Students Run Philly Style offers a fun working environment with a passionate and knowledgeable community. We are looking for a VISTA who is self-driven, a strong communicator, and well-versed in popular social media platforms. You do not have to be a runner or be an expert in any sport to be successful in this position, but you have to be passionate about youth development and equity. Member Duties : The VISTA at Students Run Philly Style will be part of the 22-23 Up2Us Sports VISTA nationwide cohort of 75 members. The Marketing Coordinator VISTA will work closely with staff, volunteers and student runners to increase our capacity for marketing, development, and communications. The VISTA member will: 1) interview and collect stories of impact from student runners, volunteer mentors, staff and stakeholders; 2) lead design and production of marketing and social media content in visual, audio and video formats; 3) create a set of stock photos for use in marketing content; 4) conduct regular analysis of marketing data to track and drive improvements in visuality; and 5) share regular reports to the staff on progress toward marketing objectives and goals outlined in the strategic marketing plan. The VISTA member will also have the opportunity to support special events throughout the program year including social entrepreneurship initiatives with brands like our annual sneaker release.
