Aces In Motion Development Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Aces in Motion's mission is to promote character development, academic achievement and health through the game of tennis. The AIM After-School Program is a sports-based youth development program that puts best practices, including trauma-informed care, into practice. It is a longitudinal program that provides middle and high school students living in under-resourced neighborhoods in Gainesville Florida, with quality Out-of-School Time programming, including academic support, tennis instruction, enrichment activities, and support services, such as mental health counseling. For school year 2022-23, our programming will take place at a historic elementary school as well as the University of Florida. As a result of the COVID pandemic, our students need even more support than ever. As a VISTA, you will perform the important work of ensuring the sustainability for our organization by serving in the areas of marketing and development. You will assist in building the capacity of our organization by collaborating in the creation and execution of annual marketing and fundraising plans and by managing our donor management system. We are looking for an individual with good organizational and time management skills. During your program, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in non-profit management, become part of a team of passionate, committed individuals dedicated to helping youth reach their potential, and in the process, positively impact our community. Member Duties : The VISTA at Aces in Motion will be part of the 2022-23 Up2Us Sports VISTA cohort of 75 members. The VISTA position will continue its PR campaign to increase community awareness of our organization's sports­ based youth development programming and will assist in developing an annual fundraising plan and oversee its execution. The VISTA will continue the work of the previous VISTA with the development of an effective communication plan, attend AIM programming and events to capture content, engage and develop a following on our social media platforms, maintain our website, and create monthly AIM newsletters. Our VISTA will also implement a cohesive fundraising plan to support AIM programming, coordinate online fundraising events, and assist in the identification of corporate donors/sponsors. Finally, our VISTA will maintain and improve AlM's internal donor management system and protocols. The VISTA will also attend weekly meetings with Director staff to update the team on progress.
