The Texas Association of Charitable Clinics VISTA Program seeks to place members who are committed to national service and public health in the clinics throughout Texas that are dedicated to providing quality healthcare services to low-income individuals. VISTA Program members will be provided with on-going support and training, as well as invaluable experience in the healthcare field.

Member Duties : At PediPlace, the second year VISTA will work to alleviate poverty in Lewisville, Texas by providing outreach and education about clinic services and events while seeking out community partners for collaboration, creating and updating marketing materials and social media strategies, and helping plan fundraisers through marketing campaigns. Member activities include researching and identifying outreach opportunities through conversation with community partners, professionals, staff, area school districts etc., developing and utilizing e-communication tools and social media to enhance communication with targeted audiences and increasing public awareness and engagement, collecting patient stories to be used in promotional materials and grants, and helping plan PediPlace fundraisers through marketing campaigns.
