Community Food Project Coordinator
 
 
 
The VISTA Community Food Project Coordinator will develop a systems approach that includes local infrastructure, food donations, education and awareness, volunteer recruitment and training, resource linkages and marketing. They will plan, organize and implement capacity development activities to assess a sustainable community food program, create and manage strategic partnerships, recruit, sustain and train volunteers and promote best practices to enhance policies for food and nutrition security in our service area.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will work to develop capacity by recruiting and training volunteers to sustain the programs of our local food program. They will also develop strategic partnerships and promote best practices to enhance policies for food and nutrition security for our clients and community members in need.
