PAARI Families Against Narcotics VISTA
 
 
 
The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) was founded alongside the Gloucester Police Department Angel Initiative in June 2015 and has grown into a movement of approximately 700 law enforcement partners in 46 states all implementing a non arrest pathway to treatment and access. Members of our National Recovery Corps will strengthen the ability of partnering law enforcement agencies to increase access to care and address addiction and poverty through non-arrest approaches. VISTAs will help build, strengthen, and sustain police-led programs to reduce and prevent overdose deaths and help more people with opioid use disorder get into treatment and recovery. This position will be in Families Against Narcotics in Clinton Township. Interested applicants will perform duties listed below: Increase effectiveness in creating access to care for individuals with a substance-use disorder through community engagement, follow-up services and referral and planning implementation. Develop, update, manage and submit department documents for program policies and procedures. Plan department led events centered around distributing resources to impacted members of the community. Engage in communications to provide educational materials about the department’s non-arrest and diversion programs. In silo with event planning, applicants will be required to engage in community organizing efforts led by the department to promote recruitment and volunteer sign-ups. Individuals with lived experience are encouraged to apply. During your service, you will receive a living allowance from CNCS and at the conclusion of a successful service year you will be eligible for an education award of 7,395 or a cash stipend of $1,800 *If interested in starting on a different start date please let us know*
