CC Atlanta Volunteer Resources Capacity Associate VISTA
 
 
 
Catholic Charities Atlanta provides programs that include case management, mental health counseling, financial coaching, English language instruction, and refugee and immigration services. Volunteers are critical to the efforts of these programs and allow CCA to serve people in need. The Volunteer Resources division directs all activities related to volunteers throughout the agency, including the recruiting, vetting, onboarding, and daily management. Volunteer Resources works closely with all programs to best assess their volunteer needs, creating new and meaningful opportunities. Volunteer Resources engages volunteers with tokens of appreciation, events, and specialized outreach. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.

Member Duties : The Volunteer Resources Associate VISTA helps recruit and onboard volunteers throughout the agency, with an emphasis on those who teach English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to adults. VISTA will create an onboarding process for new volunteers that includes a more comprehensive training program. VISTA will utilize and expand the use of CCA’s volunteer management software for scheduling and tracking volunteer time. The VISTA will also cultivate volunteers by developing outreach and training opportunities, as well as appreciation initiatives. VISTA will research and coordinate professional development opportunities for ESL students. The VISTA is also in the planning and logistics of the Christmas Connections program and other agency events and outreach.
