PSP VISTA: The Warming Center
 
 
 
This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA service position is hosted by the Public and School Partnership (PSP) and is based at The Warming Center in Logan, UT. The Warming Center is committed to alleviate poverty in our community by providing safety, warmth, and care for unhoused individuals and families. The VISTA member will contribute to this goal by supporting the W.A.B Warming Center with developing, implementing, and improving upon program structure, strategies, and resources. AmeriCorps VISTA is a National Service program. All AmeriCorps VISTA positions are full-time hours for one calendar year, as mandated by the Corporation for National and Community Service. Successful completion of a one-year service term qualifies all VISTA members for either an education award of $6895 or a cash stipend of $1800 (direct deposit). The pay, a living stipend, is $1901 per month.

Member Duties : Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Working with board members on the development, implementation, and improvement of the program structure and strategies of The Warming Center. Work with board members with resource generation and development to support the activities of The Warming Center. Resources are defined by The Warming Center as financial and in-kind donations and volunteer time. Collaborate with team and contribute to efforts to provide volunteers and guests with a positive experience during the time when The Warming Center is open. Raise awareness and support for The Warming Center by working with board members on outreach, communications, and marketing efforts.
