RI TerraCorps - Youth Education Coordinator

TerraCorps is a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of land conservation, sustainable farming, and local food systems to build local nonprofit capacity while growing the next generation of emerging leaders committed to making a difference at the community level. We value the power of local nonprofits to best understand and serve their communities, and our goal is to help them succeed by providing them with access to the AmeriCorps national service model to build organizational capacity. TerraCorps is looking for Youth Education Coordinators to serve in AmeriCorps positions with community-based nonprofits across Rhode Island. These 1,700-hour AmeriCorps positions receive a living allowance (up to $27,666), education award ($7,395), and additional AmeriCorps benefits. The 2025-26 program will run from 9/22/25-7/31/26. Service members are paired with a site supervisor who provides guidance and mentorship while they learn to manage community programs and projects. TerraCorps partners with a network of 30+ nonprofits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island focused on community needs related to local land conservation and sustainable agriculture. These partners act as service sites for a new cohort of up to 52 AmeriCorps service members annually who select from five coordinator positions: Community Engagement Coordinator, Youth Education Coordinator, Land Stewardship Coordinator, Land Conservation Coordinator, and Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator.
