Health and Nutrition Programs VISTA
 
 
 
Rural Health Network SCNY (RHN)'s mission is to advance the health and well-being of rural people and communities. The RHN VISTA program, Rural Health Service Corps, will seek to eliminate poverty in the proposed service areas, and expects to benefit program participants, community members, and host organizations. Twenty VISTA members total will contribute to the goals of the project by performing activities such as strategic planning, research, grant writing, training, volunteer management, and coalition building over the course of the next year.

Member Duties : The VISTA will work closely with our Health & Nutrition Programs Manager and Director of Health & Nutrition on new and established healthcare partnership programs with local healthcare institutions. Responsibilities will include supporting menu development, planning for meal delivery programs, program evaluation with medical students, and suggestions for improvement and enhancement of services. The VISTA will also have an opportunity to take part in the development of strategies to engage with new healthcare partners.
