Eco3.23 Carlton County Community Resilience VISTA

Carlton County Community & Family Initiatives Department seeks to improve community resiliency through improving connections to programs and resources for individuals within our community. As well as building a strong marketing campaign that will share local stories about resiliency, impact perspective and program overviews through our online platforms. The VISTA will develop and maintain a relationship with local organizations that serve our community. The relationships will help to build capacity on our different online platforms and make connections to resources. The development and planning on these platforms will help to build long-term sustainability within our community. The VISTA member will also research, design and assist with the development of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) trainings that will be built into our county’s training capacity. The VISTA’s work is expected to be diverse as it will be strongly dependent on what the needs are of the community as well as promoting resiliency and well-being among community members. VISTA member will be part of the Ecolibrium3 AmeriCorps VISTA serving in northeastern Minnesota. Although each member is serving in a unique position, all cohort members will participate in VISTA specific activities such as regular cohort meetings, collaborate on projects, professional development opportunities, and trainings. Additionally, cohort members will jointly complete one community service project of their cooperative design.
