Fundraising and Donor Management VISTA Coordinator

Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) was incorporated as a private, nonprofit organization in Dodgeville, Wis. in 1966. Located in the beautiful Driftless Region, with lots of recreational opportunities, the agency provides services in the critical areas of food, housing, energy, early childhood and adult education, healthcare, transportation and more. SWCAP is a focal point for antipoverty efforts in Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette and Richland counties. Our staff and volunteers work to mitigate the causes and conditions of poverty by collaborating with partners to offer supportive programs which build resilience and self-sufficiency. We are in search of a VISTA Member willing to help us build agency-wide capacity through fundraising and donor management. The ideal candidate will have experience with developing project plans that include interviewing stakeholders, leading meetings, gathering best practices, prioritizing tactics, and meeting deliverable deadlines. The VISTA will work as a team and individually to fulfill fundraising and donor strategies, including writing grant applications and developing a system for responding to future funding opportunities. Inspired, strategic thinkers who like to write, create marketing communications, and work on a variety of activities are encouraged to apply. Marketing experience is highly desired. Communications finesse, organizational skills, and Microsoft Office experience required. In return for your dedication to helping our nonprofit, you will gain networking and professional development opportunities, along with the standard AmeriCorps VISTA Member benefits package. After settling into your key role, telecommuting may be an option. Are you ready to learn more about becoming a full-time, one-year VISTA Member starting this summer? For more information, please visit our website at www.swcap.org.
