AmeriCorps VISTA with subjecttoclimate.org

SubjectToClimate.org is a nonprofit online connector for K-12 educators of all subjects to identify unbiased and engaging materials on climate change at no cost. This virtual organization has joined other New Jersey organizations to form the NJ Climate Change Education Initiative (NJCCEI). This initiative came together to develop an online tool (NJ Climate Change Education Hub) to support educators in their effort to teach the new climate change education standards. This VISTA member will work in helping the NJ Regional Lead spread awareness about the NJ Climate Change Education Hub (www.njclimateeducation.org) and build the NJ Teacher Taskforce (NJ teachers who work to create exemplar lesson plans in the hub). What skills would you like potential members to possess? - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to organize and coordinate presentations - Organized and ability to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks - Ability to create engaging presentations - Prior teaching experience would be nice.
