Alaska Native Heritage Center Grant Management VISTA

The program in which the ANHC Grant Management VISTA will be serving will be focused on supporting the grants department. The grants department effectively identifies opportunities, prepares proposals, oversees administrative tasks to ensure funding is received, and closes out active projects. The grants department occasionally serves to fulfill programmatic vacancies. The Grant Management VISTA will serve as a primary coordinator within the organization to execute the necessary tasks to move the grants strategy forward. ANHC has a robust portfolio of grants that allow the organization to operate programming, maintain staff, and build capacity for enhanced execution of its mission focused work. The funders span from local corporations to state agencies to federal programs. There are several opportunities within this VISTA position to collaborate with the Alaska Native community to learn more about their histories, cultures, and traditions. ANHC is a healing place where people can come to experience authentic engagement with Alaska Native cultures. The grants department engages with all aspects of the organization and ensures smooth operation of grant-funded programs, which comprises most of the organization’s work.
