Salina Adult Education Center VISTA
 
 
 
The Salina Adult Education Center (SAEC) VISTA will accelerate the build-out of SAEC's dual-delivery curriculum so that in person and online learning utilize the same high-quality resources. The VISTA member will also build aids to optimize teachers’ workflow. In addition, the SAEC VISTA will assist SAEC staff in assessing the current needs of Partners 4 Success (P4S) employers and ways community agencies can support updated P4S programming.

Member Duties : The SAEC VISTA will build existing lesson components in web-based applications, expand tools for accessing resources and managing classes, and re-establish relationships with Saline county employers and community agencies for research and planning. The VISTA member will achieve this by producing instructional content and evaluating and revising digital content for accuracy, functionality, and quality. The VISTA member will create and maintain links to new and existing content in curriculum finding aids, add instructions for specific digital tasks to shared resource, and build templates to expedite construction of classes each session. The VISTA member will connect with former area employers that served as P4S partners and reach out to new employers, develop and implement a survey about what employers need in today’s workforce, and create a database of employers and community partners that can be a sustainable and user friendly tool for SAEC staff during P4S programming.
