DeSales Community Development is a community-based non-profit formed in 1976 to serve the Fox Park and Tower Grove East neighborhoods in the City of St. Louis. DeSales promotes the ongoing growth of neighborhoods as healthy, diverse urban communities with quality housing.

Member Duties : The Fundraising and Communications VISTA will work closely with DeSales’ Fundraising Manager and Executive Director to build organizational capacity. They will cultivate and grow new and existing funding opportunities, and effectively share the story of DeSales’ work developing affordable housing, connecting residents to rental assistance, preventing eviction, and more for those in need. The Fundraising and Communications VISTA will focus especially on the development of systems that will build the organization’s long-term capacity for grant prospecting, writing, tracking, and reporting, as well as on the organization’s approach to marketing and communication. They will work closely with the other VISTAs to support the organization in better telling the story of how long-term, stable, and high-quality affordable housing is an essential part of a strong and healthy community.
