Stewards VISTA: Lincoln Home National Historic Site

VISTA will support the Lincoln Home in education, outreach, and recruitment programming and initiatives. A primary focus of the VISTA’s work will be working with community partners and Lincoln Home interpretive staff to perform, review, reevaluate, and redevelop current education programs and develop new education, outreach, and volunteer programs and events, to best interest and support the needs and interests of local communities and local youth. In addition, the VISTA will perform outreach and recruitment for internship and site volunteer program opportunities offered at Lincoln Home National Historic Site, with a particular focus on local applicants and applicants from underserved and underrepresented communities. To support these and future initiatives and projects, some of the VISTA’s time will also be dedicated towards applying towards grants and funding sources, to ensure the sustainability of these projects.
