University of Iowa Community Engagement, IAMNCC

The Leadership, Service, and Civic Engagement team at the University of Iowa aims to connect students with meaningful opportunities for service in the greater Iowa City community. This project will focus on connecting content experts with students and community members who would benefit from greater financial literacy. Partnering with a number of local agencies and on-campus partners, this position would work to increase the effectiveness and reach of these resources and trainings. This project is part of the Community Corps VISTA Program, operated by Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact. The program strives to eliminate poverty through campus-community partnerships by placing capacity building support in higher education and nonprofit organizations. ***Please also send cover letter and resume to supervisor. Member Duties : The AmeriCoprs member will meet with and connect students to service experiences in Iowa (specifically the Iowa City Corridor), support and advice the Student United Way Student Organization, Develop and Implement Poverty Alleviation programs and networks, support the service and civic engagement mission of the Division of Student Life.
