OSU Extension Service engages people of Oregon with research-based knowledge and education. The Family & Community Health program provides education through lenses of equity, inclusivity, plain-language, and trauma-informed outreach to improve health and wellbeing in our community, particularly for low-income individuals. We are seeking an AmeriCorps member to improve access to clean air and healthy food in The Gorge. Our ideal member shares those values and seeks an opportunity to serve in a vibrant, innovative, and collaborative workplace. The member will live and work in the “gorge-ous” Columbia River Gorge, a community nationally recognized for its collaborative approaches to creating a culture of health. With the innovative public health work happening in Oregon, The Gorge is a wonderful place to explore a future in public health. The OHA AmeriCorps VISTA Partnership Project is committed to building a diverse workforce to strengthen our work in Oregon communities. We value applicants who can bring lived experience to further OHA’s strategic goal to eliminate health inequities by 2030.
