2023 MERIT Health Leadership Operations Development

The Medical Education Resources Initiative for Teens (MERIT) Health Leadership Academy is a non-profit organization that works with low-income, first-generation high school students pursuing careers in STEM/health professions. This AmeriCorps VISTA project will update management systems for scholar data, program compliance, fundraising, and grant reporting. By building out and updating these systems, MERIT will be able to track alumni scholars more effectively, while also improving the efficiency of MERIT’s fundraising efforts. Additionally, the VISTA will build systems for the implementation of MERIT’s school year service fellowship, which helps scholars develop their identity as change agents who can advance equity in the Baltimore City community and beyond. MERIT is seeking a “Operations Coordinator” who will support efforts to codify these efforts.
