'22-'23 HYBRID Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Turning Pointe Survivor Advocacy Center (Shelton, WA) started in 2000 and serves roughly 600 people a year. We are the only advocacy center for both Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault survivors in Mason County. We operate one of the largest emergency domestic violence shelters (one of the only pet-friendly) in the State of Washington. We serve survivors through a variety of services including legal advocacy and clinics, youth advocacy, support groups, referrals, emergency shelter, general advocacy, safety planning, 24-hour helpline, and prevention education. Turning Pointe also has a satellite office in Belfair focused on youth services and bringing services to the North Mason and Kitsap area. All services are free and confidential, and all survivors are served.

Member Duties : Hybrid Position: Must be in-person for orientation but the rest of the position can be remote. Hours: Monday through Friday, regular business hours with an occasional event to support. In this position, you will build capacity for our communications and marketing efforts using visual and oral, written communication skills. This is a great opportunity to have some autonomy and exercise creativity. The member will directly see how their efforts impact the mission and the work in the community. Activities will include: 1. Build capacity for awareness events and fundraising events 2. Update website content 3. Update and contribute to social media posts 4. Craft and send email blasts, annual report, and year-end letters 5. Explore new avenues for communications 6. Support the mission at Turning Pointe with effective communication about programs 7. Raise awareness about advocacy 8. Refine Communications Calendar.
