LETS GO Outreach and Communications VISTA
The communities we serve are historically marginalized and many times are struggling to get equitable access to opportunities and networks that allow for success. LETS GO works to provide opportunities and networks so all students can participate. We work in collaboration with Title 1 public schools, community centers in low-income housing developments, and with other area non-profits working to address other areas related to poverty. We work with students, their families, local staff, and the entire community for that neighborhood. This position will have you working on our social media sites, creating e-newsletters, and getting content to the website. You’ll also get to design communications for students, families, and their communities as well as manage community members who want to volunteer with LETS GO. This is the first year of this project and you’d get to create it from the ground up! LETS GO is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through STEM education and workforce development. Conducting media outreach can also help you build lasting relationships with media influencers, giving DEI and poverty a well-deserved spotlight.
