Member Duties : The Western New York Land Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust that protects land with significant conservation value in Western New York for future generations. The Land Conservancy envisions a future in which open spaces, wildlife habitat, working lands, and scenic beauty are cherished and protected. The VISTA Program Support Specialist will work with The Riverline Director to implement The Riverline, a proposed iconic, innovative, and inspiring nature trail and greenway in the City of Buffalo on an unused railway. The Riverline will connect people to nature in the heart of the city. The Riverline is part of the High Line Network, a network of 37 infrastructure reuse projects which focus on the equitable development of urban infrastructure. The VISTA will support project development through community engagement, maintaining relationships with program partners and constituents, organizing volunteer programming and environmental education, and assisting with grant applications.
