Member Duties : The Syracuse Poster Project brings together poets and artists to create an annual series of illustrated poetry posters for display. They foster community through civic poster art, develop ways for that art to sustain itself, and provide opportunities for local poets and artists to develop their craft. The Resource Development Coordinator VISTA will work on documenting work processes, compiling training manuals, supporting grant writing efforts, and developing and implementing an annual donor campaign. The VISTA will recruit interns from area colleges and local job readiness programs. The VISTA will develop and implement volunteer and intern training materials, develop partnerships with community groups, and fundraise for special initiatives. The VISTA’s efforts will provide individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds with a path to gainful employment and will foster partnerships to ensure that the Project can continue their goal of civic engagement through the arts in Central NY.
