FSI Canvas and Outreach Associate VISTA
 
 
 
FSI Canvas and Outreach Associate VISTA is responsible for visiting residential neighborhoods or public areas to gather information about farmers in the area. Their duties include passing out information, asking members of the public to fill out farming surveys. This position is responsible for outreach functions, including volunteer engagement, communications and outreach, and community mobilization leading to increased participation and partnerships within the farm organizations. The position requires prior community leadership, engagement, marketing and communications, strong public speaking and writing skills, event management, and the ability to recruit, manage, and cultivate volunteer leadership

Member Duties : Will survey farmers in the region. (25%) Identify and produce skills development trainings for farmers. (10%) Represent FB in community initiatives and events that support our food security initiative (5%) Foster positive and collaborative relationships with farmers, local non-profit organizations, food organizations, businesses, and student organization. (15%) Monitor the success of farmers engagement strategies and budget, and make course corrections. (10%) Assist in writing grants and reports. (10%) Design and implement evaluation tools to measure and ensure impact. (15%) Networking and collaboration with local organizations and community leaders. (10%)
