Member Duties : A VISTA member will be helping AOB break new ground, as we establish a consistent, safe, and creative presence in two middle schools this summer - Banneker M.S. in Burtonsville ,and Eastern M.S. in the Long Branch area of Silver Spring. AOB is very familiar with the communities and the youth in general - as we have worked with these populations and areas for many years. VISTA members will be asked to do the following (along with other YAM/AOB staff):Assist YAM staff with curriculum development. Prepare Art Kits for cohort. Plan to facilitate/teach one or more activities through the 4+ week, 3 day/week program. Meet regularly with the cohort team, YAM Manager and AOB staff to provide updates, assess progress and address challenges. Assist with a culminating event that highlights students’ creative achievements. Contribute feedback during an end-of-program debrief. Engage with AOB staff and youth outside of YAM, as time allows
