2022-2023 Health Equity Outreach Coordinator VISTA (IAFCC)
 
 
 
The Health Equity Outreach VISTA will work to improve overall health equity in DuPage County, IL. COVID-19 continues to affect all of us, and the VISTA will provide patients’ access to up-to-date guidelines, vaccination, testing and treatment; developing and implementing programs to prevent the spread of communicable diseases by creating pathways that connect high barrier populations to healthcare. In addition, the Health Equity VISTA’s efforts will build capacity for the DuPage Health Coalition by providing health education, healthcare access, and information that supports enrollment/linkage to additional resources (both private and public) that improve health equity for underserved, low-income populations in the community.

Member Duties : The Health Equity VISTA will create and build on community partnerships to provide health education, healthcare access, and information on additional resources to health disparate populations in DuPage County. The Health Equity VISTA will develop a method to solicit client feedback. This initiative will help DHC improve program processes.
