Campus Compact - GEAR UP NH Academic Support (22-23)
 
 
 
Campus Compact for New Hampshire's AmeriCorps VISTA project connects change-makers to critical projects supporting low-income students at K-12 schools, colleges, and universities across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Members build capacity within these educational institutions to fight poverty. This program provides members with up-to-date professional development preparing them for careers after service. These skills also give members the tools and knowledge to provide great service to their site. Members will serve in a cohort model that creates an opportunity to learn from peers, share their own experience in the program, and create a community of like-minded individuals. If you are ready to make a difference, our program wants you to serve here in Northern New England!

Member Duties : The Academic Support Coordinator will assist in the development of programming targeted at summer melt. They will provide ongoing support and capacity for other GEAR UP NH initiatives including the student success committee, mentoring programs, and career panels. Assist in communications across the grant to help bolster messaging for low-income or first-gen students. The Coordinator will help build capacity within the GEAR UP NH partner school districts by creating programming structure for the staff at the district.
