Campus Compact - GEAR UP Manchester (22-23) 2 Positions

Campus Compact for New Hampshire's AmeriCorps VISTA project connects change-makers to critical projects supporting low-income students at K-12 schools, colleges, and universities across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Members build capacity within these educational institutions to fight poverty. This program provides members with up-to-date professional development preparing them for careers after service. These skills also give members the tools and knowledge to provide great service to their site. Members will serve in a cohort model that creates an opportunity to learn from peers, share their own experience in the program, and create a community of like-minded individuals. If you are ready to make a difference, our program wants you to serve here in Northern New England!

Member Duties : The goal of the AmeriCorps Member is to assist GEAR UP staff in strategically achieving the three main goals of the program: increase the academic performance and preparation for postsecondary education of their low-income cohort students, expand students' aspirations and increase the rate of high school graduation and participation in postsecondary education, and increase students' and families' knowledge of postsecondary education options, preparation, and financing.
