Campus-Community Partnerships VISTA
 
 
 
With a strong record of developing reciprocal, respectful, active, and democratic partnerships, George Washington University (GW) in downtown Washington DC is seeking a VISTA to serve as the Campus-Community Partnerships VISTA with the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service. The VISTA will serve alongside the engageDC program to support nine, local nonprofits through volunteer recruitment and management, training curriculum development, partnership capacity development, and program sustainability initiatives. This is a full-time (40hrs a week) 12-month service term with the GWServes AmeriCorps VISTA Project.

Member Duties : A Community Partnerships Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will need to perform successfully: Volunteer outreach, engagement, and recruitment experience, especially with college students. *Ability to design, plan, and implement volunteer trainings and/or reflection *Mentorship ability to advise, empower, hold accountable, and support site-based leaders. *Capacity to translate findings from data into practical guidance for stakeholders. *Prior experience in event or program planning. *Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed for stakeholder engagement and outreach. *Ability to take initiative and follow-through on tasks.
