Campus Community Liaison
With a strong record of developing reciprocal, respectful, active, and democratic partnerships, George Washington University (GW) in downtown Washington DC is seeking a VISTA to serve as a CES Campus-Community Liaison VISTA in the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service. The VISTA will provide support for community partners of course-based service initiatives, enhance the communications mechanisms used to reach various stakeholders (community-based organization and school staff, faculty, and GW students), and collaborate with the Nashman Center team to collect and analyze, and report data on the impacts and outcomes of course-based service initiatives in our local community. This is a full-time (40hrs a week) 12-month service term with the GWServes AmeriCorps VISTA Project.

Member Duties : A successful CES Campus-Community Liaison VISTA will need to perform successfully: •Ability to write succinct, grammatically-correct and engaging texts for newsletters and social media •Experience with data collection and assessment •Ability to generate user-friendly reports and recommendations based on data •Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, communicate progress, and achieve goals
