Serve KY DEI Advancement VISTA
 
 
 
Are you interested in making a real difference? Are you passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)? Consider being a VISTA with Serve Kentucky (Serve KY) in the Commonwealth capital city of Frankfort! Serve KY is a dynamic team within the State Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS). Join our mission to engage Kentuckians in volunteerism and service to positively impact our communities. A new and exciting VISTA project will allow for streamlined organizational activities and the furtherance of our mission. The project includes a VISTA Team working to build capacity in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advancement, Volunteerism and Disaster Services, Workforce Development, and Communications. You will help build systems and create tools that contribute to the sustainability of this important work. VISTA members will serve alongside partners such as Volunteer Connector Organizations (VCO’s), National Service Programs and their service sites, non-profits, and other CHFS departments.

Member Duties : Work a hybrid schedule with remote flexibility. Research possible DEI strategies, trainings, and practices. Develop and pilot new tools to strengthen programming with partners. Develop or modify outreach materials. Conduct community outreach or organize strategic meetings. Develop or improve presentations, communication tools, and methods of conducting outreach. Assist with development of data collection system which tracks overall effectiveness of DEI-related training. Design intra-organizational systems that track participation and outcomes. A year with Serve Kentucky will offer fun meaningful service, professional development opportunities, and resume building projects.
