DARRE Coordinator VISTA @ The Hub

At The Hub, we believe in the power of community. The DARRE Community Engagement Coordinator VISTA will support the 8 communities in the new Downtown Appalachia: Revitalizing Recreational Economies (DARRE) program, as the program ramps up in mid-2022. Communities participating in the program will build an integrated strategy for economy building that builds on existing tourism-readiness and branding activities and grows the capacity of the downtown infrastructure to support the influx of people. The member who fills this role will support The Hub in project tracking, outreach and engagement, and partner development, among many other exciting capacity-building activities. The ideal candidate for this position will have an understanding of challenges facing rural communities, a passion for West Virginia, and a keen eye for detail and systems. This position will start on May 9th, 2022, and can be based in The Hub’s Charleston or Buckhannon office. Teleservice within West Virginia may be available for the right candidate, as permitted by AmeriCorps.
