Homefront Summer Associates VISTA - Camp Wellness Coord.

Summer Associate Wellness Coordinators will utilize a trauma informed care approach to work alongside campers. They have an understanding of challenges faced by children experiencing homelessness and want to dedicate their summer to alleviating those challenges. They will serve as a coordinator, role model, an advisor, a confidant, and a supervisor to the campers. The Coordinators will be directly responsible for all campers in their assigned group, and indirectly responsible for all campers within the camp. The Coordinators ensure camper/staff safety by taking proactive measures each day. They are the go to person when a camper/staff in their group needs medical attention. Alongside counselors in their group they also assist in creating a safe, fun and educational experience and active devotion to the well-being and happiness of each camper. The coordinators uses common sense and good judgment to significantly impact camper experience.
