Immigration Program Assessment & Outreach Coordinator [MCN]

This position will be filled on a rolling basis. Apply Today! The International Institute of Minnesota empowers New Americans to achieve full membership in American life. Through refugee resettlement, career development, immigration services, and English language learning, the Institute serves 4000 people from 100 countries each year. Programs and services offered at the Institute are vital in helping New Americans achieve self-sufficiency and support their families. The demand for the Institute’s immigration legal services has continued to increase over the past five years. International Institute of MN continues to experience wait lists and urgency by applicants motivated to naturalize and we expect a surge in the coming months as more clients try to naturalize in time to vote in the 2024 Election. The demand for naturalization assistance remains high in the Twin Cities community; thousands of residents are currently eligible to apply for citizenship. Reduced access to citizenship services prevents long-term community residents from accessing the same political and economic benefits as naturalized residents, further creating income and political representational disparities. Currently, due to the programs limited infrastructure and capacity, the Immigration Legal Services program is unable to assist clients to its fullest potential - a huge, missed opportunity for clients eager to naturalize and use their voting and economic power. The Program Assessment & Outreach Coordinator will improve internal scheduling and communication systems, assess strengths and weaknesses to improve service delivery and develop community partnerships to increase capacity.
