| Member Duties : The NAMI South Central Iowa summer VISTA will promote mental health across 11 counties in south central Iowa through a two part project. The first part of the project will require the VISTA to plan, promote, and execute a fundraising event. This event should be engaging and promote mental health while raising funds for NAMI South Central Iowa. The summer VISTA will have artistic freedom to plan this event so be creative and have fun! The second part of the project consists of regular attendance at a variety of community events throughout the summer. Events include county fairs, community meetings, and other tabling events. The purpose of these events is to promote NAMI South Central Iowa's education programs and support groups and to recruit more volunteers.
