PCCE- Shippensburg University (Career)

*Applicant will need to provide Covid-19 vaccine documentation* Shippensburg University’s Mission: Student learning and personal development through highly effective and innovative teaching, complemented by a wide variety of out-of-class experiences, continue to serve as the hallmark of Shippensburg University. The vision of the university's Career Center and Office of Continuing Education is to transform the landscape of our regional and statewide workforce through quality career readiness and workforce development programs. Shippensburg University wants to expand the workforce ecosystem to improve understanding of and appreciation for education while providing free or reduced-cost career readiness and workforce development training and program options. The area that represents Shippensburg Area School District has a significant level of poverty. Due to a lack of understanding of and appreciation for education, the poverty rate has remained relatively stagnant for the past 15 years. The VISTA can help by convening the workforce ecosystem, finding funding sources, and implementing services.
