| Member Duties : The VISTA Summer Associates will fight poverty by increasing enrollment of low-income youth in Community Youth Development programs, coordinating the free Summer Recreation Camp, and increasing community leader participation in Community Youth Development programs. These duties will give the youth of the 78744 ZIP code access to positive role models and provide educational and constructive ways to spend their time, which will keep them from the pitfalls that can continue the cycle of poverty and have resources to excel out of poverty.
