Member Duties : *Candidate must have proof of Covid Vaccine or be willing to obtain vaccine prior to the official start of service. The VISTA will be critical by leading in the following: 1. Develop a comprehensive design and plan for implementing the Civic Ready PA program during the 2023-2024 academic year 2. Identify and recruit participants for a 2022-23 spring semester pilot of the Civic Ready PA program using the Rendell Center’s existing civics-based literacy tutoring curriculum (i.e., Read Aloud) 3. Implement and manage pilot of the Civic Ready PA program 4. Conduct research to identify models of civics-based literacy tutoring curricula and civics-based literacy service-learning projects. 5. Design a civics-based literacy tutoring curriculum that can be facilitated by pre-service teachers in Chester County K-12 schools and/or OST contexts. 6. Design a civics-based service-learning project that can be facilitated by pre-service teachers in Chester County K-12 schools and/or OST contexts
