FP: First Call Organizational Support Summer Associate
 
 
 
It is the mission of First Call to reduce the impact of alcohol, drugs, and addiction by providing quality resources to individuals, families and the community. In an effort to alleviate poverty and make a greater community impact, this Organization Support Specialist will provide core mission support to help reduce the impact of substance use disorder (SUD) on individuals, families, and the community. This VISTA will help sustain programs designed for under-served and uninsured people by increasing engagement with First Call direct services, providing maintenance of partner information and service listings, and providing core mission support to the administrative and operations team at First Call.

Member Duties : Identify potential partners currently not included, with focus on urban core services. Contact current and potential partners to update service listings and share information about First Call program and service availability. Work with appropriate staff to create a script for this process that can be used for future update needs. Perform engagement activities by interfacing with current and potential community partners. Staff the crisis call line, providing first point-of-contact engagement to those seeking services from First Call.
