Campus Compact Wilbur Wright College Wellness Center
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps member will assess current Wilbur Wright College Wellness Center outreach programming, review best practices and redesign outreach programming. The goals of the project are to increase student participation in outreach, increase student participation in direct clinical services, and increase the quality and number of community partners. The member will also create the underlying structure to assess outreach and community partnerships. The AmeriCorps member will assess and connect with existing community partners, create a system for managing relationships and contact information and form new community partnerships. The member will coordinate outreach to students and staff on campus as well as form partnerships with other school alliances such as the Student Government Association and related clubs such as Alliance (LGBTQ+) and Feminists Unite. The member will also assess current website and social media use in Wellness Center Outreach and redesign the Wellness Center’s website and social media outreach campaign. The biweekly living allowance for this position is $675.08. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide a public transit pass, a parking pass, access to free/reduced courses, fitness center access, and an internet or phone stipend. The AmeriCorps member serving at Wilbur Wright will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year. Member Duties : 1. Familiarize self with current Wellness Center Outreach programming 2. Help in managing daily operations for Wright College's Food Pantry 3. Marketing the food pantry to relevant stakeholders. 4. Recruiting volunteers to cover shifts at the Food Pantry 5. Research best practices in college counseling Outreach programming 6. Coordinate Outreach programming, working with community partners and on-campus Student Government Association, Student Clubs, Title IX, Academic Departments, etc. 7. Create a system for tracking community partners and evaluating quality of partnerships 8. Create new relationships with community partners 9. Evaluate and implement social media and website Outreach 10. Develop a new and improved Wellness Center Outreach Programming plan 11. Report on effectiveness of activities and progress towards project goals.
