City Fresh-Food Justice VISTA
 
 
 
City Fresh is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Since 2005, City Fresh has delivered weekly shares of produce to families in Cleveland and throughout northeast Ohio. Our nonprofit program is a direct response to the lack of available fresh and local produce in urban and peri-urban neighborhoods. We work with over 20 farmers within 70 miles to deliver produce weekly to more than 600 shareholders in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties during our 24-week season. We are the only program of our kind working in the food deserts of our region, offering our support to low-income families, accepting SNAP, and working directly with farmers.

Member Duties : As our Food Justice VISTA, you will play an important role in volunteer recruitment & training, marketing & education, development, and community building. You will participate in communication and outreach, building relationships with community partners, and strengthening our nutrition education efforts. By joining our team, you will increase our capacity to promote, provide, and distribute subsidized fruits and vegetables to low-access communities. Informed by critical research, you will initiate creative collaborations with area agencies, organizations, schools, and programs. Through data analysis and surveys of program participants and volunteers, you will innovate ways of growing our impact. Finally, get ready to exercise your creative muscles with writing and design. Join our team today! **Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.**
