The AmeriCorps member will work closely with the Division of Institutional Equity and Inclusion, the Holleran Center, and New London High School to identify ways college resources can best support high school students. Additionally, the AmeriCorps member will research best practices for college aspirations, college access programming, and career readiness. The biweekly living allowance for this position is $575.40. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide on-campus housing, a partial meal plan, and a parking pass. The AmeriCorps member serving at Connecticut College New London will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year.
